Lone Wanderer
There’s a tendency to ‘romanticise’ solo travel – those fancy internet inspirational quotes – “being completely free & independent”, “meeting new people”, and (my favourite) “learning about yourself”. Not saying those things aren’t absolutely true but we seldom talk about those other moments that crop up…those lonely moments that can be a tad depressing but therapeutic & refreshing at the same time…those slow, aimless feeling you get that’s also liberating & self-healing.
Sometime you just gotta worry less on trying to overcome the feeling of loneliness and just learn to indulge it.
